Help out Haiti so the Haitian people get the medical care they need
People all over the world have joined together to help out Haiti.
The poorest country in the Americas is in great need, and I believe it is our duty as people to give what we can to help out Haiti.
On January 12, 2010, a natural disaster changed the face of a country forever. A catastrophic earthquake hit about 16 miles west of Port-Au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. This quake has claimed more than 100,000 lives. Thousands of children have lost their parents. Thousands of people have lost their homes, businesses or both.
In the weeks following the disaster, an outpouring of support came from all over the world.
The Mininno Law Office and its attorneys and staff have been proud supporters of various charitable organizations in and around the region.
Trial lawyers are also huge supporters of local, state and national organizations that help people and “do good.”
What happened in Haiti?
A magnitude-7 earthquake struck Jan. 12 killing more than 100,000 people and leaving countless more without homes and businesses. At least 33 aftershocks were recorded, and an estimated 3 million people felt the impact of the earthquake. The country’s capital, Port-Au-Prince, received catastrophic damage. Individuals and organizations from around the world have offered money, support and medical supplies. Why was the earthquake such a big disaster?
Earthquakes can occur almost anywhere. In the U.S., they occur frequently in California and Alaska. Most of the time, people don’t even notice. However, when a quake of catastrophic proportion hits one of the poorest countries in the world, the devastation is beyond measure. Thousands of people lost their lives, but those who survived lost their homes, businesses and/or families. How can I help out Haiti?

What difference can one person make?
It takes very little to help out Haiti. Haitians live on an average of just $2 each day. Imagine what a $20 donation can do. There are 300 million people in the U.S. If one in every 10 Americans gave $20, the total would be $600 million. That money would go toward food, water, blankets, medical supplies, tents and much more to people who need it most. Give what you can.|
