The New Jersey Division of Health Facilities Evaluation and Licensing routinely inspected the Cranford Hall nursing home on two separate occasions between December 2008 and November 2010. During that time, the facility was guilty of 28 deficiencies, some of which were considered to be widespread throughout the nursing home. Some of the citations were for failure to properly store/prepare and serve food in a sanitary manner, failure to have safe, functional, and comfortable environments for the residents, and problems with having safe essential equipment. Cranford hall was additionally inspected 3 more times for complaints, and 3 additional citations were given.
