Serve your country: Jury duty is essential to fairness in the justice system

There’s a common saying that only two things in life are certain: death and taxes. However, I think there’s one more certainty that we should add: jury duty. Though it’s essential to the preservation of our government, nobody likes it. It’s like going to the dentist — it’s something you’d do just about anything to get out of. However, I’m here to tell you that jury duty is essential to not only the legal system, but to the preservation of the laws that govern our country.
